2012* German Schools undergo a Countrywide Replacement and Funding currently because most were stuck at XP - every School Room can now get a Projector, all Pupils can get a Pc trough a School Help Program and Schools can get, depending on Size, atleast one full Computer Cabinet (24 pcs + Lockable Charging Station), up to four if its a really large one

Meanwhile, we have WindowsME computers here in school.

And in the Meantime they can get ARM64

I'm developing my thesis about application of SaaS model to a small bussiness group, I'm in the initial phases and want to get some help with some platform or platform like innomatic (www.innomatic.io) that is developed in php to save up up efforts.

One is humbled by how much Skill some Individuals have, from all over the World - we just have the Luck to have more of those because we grow up with Computers. And we need to get more, and expecially more recent Models out there

And not in the "We dump several illegal Tons of Electrical Components in Africa every Day" Way we do right now

I would would go for Debian. I had it in very old machines and worked flawlessly.
I think I would try Debian, they have that it requires 2GB of disk space, but looking deeper in the documentation it should be possible to trim it down

Michał

Oh, I didn't realise that it says *megabytes* and not gigabytes. ? Sorry.
That's the main issue I have with modern distros when trying to put them on that old boy :D but no pain no gain

Tobias?
26.02.2017
14:40:56
One could use a modern-ish Distro and put /boot on the 256mb storage

and / on USB

But that Pc sounds like USB 2.0 or even 1.0....

Tobias?

All the X0 can connect locally and open a meshbased local network

With "Write" they can even type in the same Document at the same Time, something many Pcs cant to this very day

Or not without a Cloud Solution like Etherpad or GDocs
