Yup

Also, the XO were made in such a way you could open it and investigate yourself. Not all countries released them with that feature though.

Tough they should deliver a Solar Charging Station with each Batch XD

Yes. Even the newer ones would resist a fall from a metre on hard ground. Mines did many times.

I had no ice there, but trust me sidewalks are pretty hard. And most of us were getting online in the street by sitting around the school.

I know my friend in Afghanistan used that. Expensive as hell and unbearably slow, but when you don't really have a choice, you use that

Hardware.
Oh! It depends on levels. Kindergarten wasn't included at first but now they have tablets. Primary school had the two first versions of XO and then switched to something else, more powerful. High school had XO at first and then "classmates" from Intel and now I think they have something else but I'm not sure because I don't live there anymore. And higher education, like pre-university, technical courses, etc, have "classmates" from Intel.

These machines ranged from the first ones with 256MB RAM and a 300mhz processor to the last ones (that I'm aware of) with 1GB RAM and Atom dual core.

Does the above answers your question, @gwindor?

hey guys, I installed xampp on my fedora. i created a new group "xamppusers" and added my user to it then gave 775 permissions to the htdocs folder but still can access without sudo.

Got around it by assigning the htdocs folder to the group named after my usernamr instead of xamppusers. Let me know if this approach is bad.

If it's a relatively new system, you may have SecureBoot enabled. If you want to use third-party kernel modules, you'll need to disable it in the BIOS.
