Hi, everyone! I need your help: I've installed POS application in Windows and want to connect to its database from Fedora through the app's thin client (see the pictures below). How to write file path. Windows ip - 192.168.1.2, Fedora's - 192.168.1.1. The ping is OK. And the folder in Windows is shared.

It's pretty good and it will be default in F27
And the problem is still: We don't care about the final user

Manjaro does this, fedora shouldn't.

You explicitely argue FOR gaming, non-FLOSS Software and more there.
There are Distros that do this.
Fedora spawns from Redhat and they would get their ass sued over it.
So they can't from a FLOSS, Legal, Common Sense and User Standpoint.
And Closed Source is always a disservice to your users.

Yeah, my contract with a lot of closed software companies is about that, try to destroy linux

Just like .net core
;)
My call with the post is simple, but I wasn't expecting that everybody understand it: if we want to attract more users we can't spit in their eye with years of experience
Just a system that works, that's all
Eventually this user will understand the benefits of using FLOSS
But we can't just stand like a wall and let them break their heads
But again, I wasn't expecting that power users understand that. We tend, as human beings, to forget our past and to not being simpathetic with newcomers

What I hated about Gnome 3 is that mouse or touchpad could suddenly stop working with interface elements.
i3wm, no such problems, though mouse isn't used as widely anymore.

it would be better to rpm —import /path/to/russianfedora/gpgkey(s) then install however, —nogpg should not be recommended on the usual basis

for the 25 -> 26 upgrade in the future install python3-dnf-plugin-system-upgrade and then upgrade that way ( in place option for version to version upgrades)
with more than 8 gb ram it can be as little as 5gb technically however that leaves VERY little for /home without some external device for /home
