Miss, actually. I'm a lady, haha.
i use cinnamon
Cinnamon is very nice and it's more configurable than Gnome 3. But I like Gnome workflow.
The window manager can't be ugly.
I know, that's why I did that commment. I think @hesuccme confuses one thing with the another. But it's not surprising as the default Gnome comes with no tool to tweak it.

I am amused the most about the possibility of setting specific window decoration color scheme per application/window rule, so you can make your terminal decoration black while rest is colorful
but I like it

They are using some minimalistic lock screen with time and so on, maybe there's a way to disable it and use xscreensaver? There's some way described on askubuntu, but I have no idea whether it's working: https://askubuntu.com/questions/67355/how-do-i-completely-turn-off-screensaver-and-power-management#67361

Yes, that always happens. Once you get used to your mouse, touchpad or keyboard and for any given reason have to use another one (like in a borrowed laptop or a library's computer) it's a hell of confusion. But that's normal, happens with all types of hardware.
BTW, what happened to Gnome-screensaver? It used to be there. Although I used to uninstall it for Xscreensaver LOL

It's a mess with a million repositories scattered around everywhere.
Exactly. Ubuntu is already a mess. To get half of the software you need to install it from some PPA. Sooner or later you end up with messed repositories and the system not working or slow... I guess it's fine for Windows users who are used to this kind of problems, but for people who want their stuff done without breaking the system at the minimum change... I don't think so.
