I've received a .pdf file I was told I have to fill out. That means editing a pdf file. I'm used to read-only .pdf documents so far. Is there any pdf program that'd allow me to do both view and edit them no needing to do any other further action other than opening the file on my Fedora setup? If so, what's the program of your preference?

just use emacs or vim. emacs can beat any SUPER ROBUST client like atom or an IDE anyway. vim is for quick editing i guess

and without type/function name hinting inside the project you basically can't do anything

I think this PDF is a special PDF with user forms: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Document_Format#AcroForms. You don't need to edit it. Okular support such forms for example.

@pionen reads minimalist. gedit doesn't have to be an IDE. It is just for quick plain text file creation or editing. I mean, you don't need Eclipse to edit /etc/dnf/dnf.conf ...

i dont want eclipse. i dont even like eclipse. gedit just looks bad and i would prefer using vim, emacs, mousepad, kate or even notepad++ or notepad over it.
