I never tried them out. I havd an Acer I paid 200€ and it was horrible with Windows 8. So I put Arch Linux on it and it works sooo smooth!

Think pads are really great. That said. I also have an Acer and it nicely works on Fedora. It does work very well on Windows 10 as well, but it works on Fedora just as good.

Getting so many good feedbacks about Thinkpad! It might be my next computer! As of now , I have an Acer running with Arch linux and it works very well even though it has just 4 GB RAM and 500 HDD with an Intel Celeron

I too expect to buy a thinkpad as my next computer (Whenever I would be buying a laptop, not anytime soon though. Mine too works flawlessly, I expect to do a memory upgrade).

My home directory is still intact and the contents accessible. But after entering password for my user on login screen, it blacks out and the login screen reappears and nothing happens.

You are running a branch of fedora thats dead.

Fedora 32-bit is no longer supported and even tested. DO NOT use it.
