Look, the kernel developers, the actual linux kernel ones, have stopped caring about 32 bit. The arch is ancient, noone is fixing things for it anymore.

Make install will generate lots of untracked by package manager files and can overwrite important system files. You system will be unstable after doing that.
You must use only package manager to install any software on package-based distributions.
