You can but it's not advised by Fedora Devs. I can't tell about Arch because I don't use it.

Because usually the lib versions are borked. Fedora has point releases. So if, let's say, F28 does not yet have the a specific lib of version "x" and instead has "y", things might go a bit haywire.

You need to install rpmfusion-nonfree-appstream-data
do you mean this? https://rpmfusion.org/Configuration

then look in gnome-software—>addons—> drivers
Where is "addons" in gnome-software?

No, in the program.

Where is "addons" in gnome-software?
Maybe extensions? I vaguely remember a tab named like that, but I don't use Gnome so I can't tell exactly.

Destroy your setups. Many many times in your life. Play around with them, break them, get a feeling for why something breaks when it does, learn to fix it, etc. - you won't understand complex systems considering them untouchable.

And no, customizing the login manager is something about personal customization and should by all means be something the user wants to do with their Linux computer.

What's next? "Don't change to dark theme! It breaks things!"?

I wouldn't recommend anything to someone that I know breaks their computer.

I still recommend to customize and see where bugs in the software are, yes.

Even if you don't know the one on the other side?
As long as I consider them competent enough to run a console IRC client to ask me how to fix their X not starting up at all, yes.

I won't consider users dumb. That's what Microsoft does.

If you break your SDDM setup while apllying a different SDDM theme, you clearly do something wrong. That's supported in SDDM since years and doesn't cause much problems.

However, if a user wants the maximum stability and not end up with a broken computer just because butterflies on the login manager were more important than system stability...

Out of curiosity: it's advertising even if different distributions aren't exactly concurrent or profit orientated? Most users use different distributions anyways. Shouldn't we at least tolerate love for other distributions?

as far as I remember, these problems had to do with the bios looking for a windows partition or something. I might be wrong.

Why people is still doing that? Just turn it off if you are not using it.
I was just curious what it would do. Having said that, there are many reasons why somebody would not want to completely shut down all running programs when they are done for the night.

On the devel mailing list I saw a kind of poll on people having issues on their hardware, Dells were the only ones without issues when it comes to suspending and hibernation.

Anyways, I don't think you are stupid. I learned hibernation or suspention is not always reliable as Turning on and off again. Even when having an SSD, it is preferable to just turn off the laptop and on againg when needed.

Mainly that hibernation is a really fickle beast and that users dont want to accept that linux cant test on every single system on the world what the manufacturers did wrong this time

My main concern is the Intel HD Graphics 2500, is it well supported?

And thats why i will not recommend changing the design of plymouth, login managers and co.
Well, they should make better login screens then. The default ones are quite dull when not outright ugly.

And no, customizing the login manager is something about personal customization and should by all means be something the user wants to do with their Linux computer.
I agree. I should have written the process, so I knew for the next time. But changing the login screen in KDE is no rocket science, it's just as simple as installing a QT theme or a set of icons. Actually I have another theme installed from Store and works fine.

Thinking on purchasing a ThinkCentre Edge 72. Any thoughts about it on linux/fedora?
Intel is always well supported, it's probably the brand that gets better support in Linux.

I'd never recommend something that will break a setup?
It's not meant to. SDDM configuration, GUI configuration in Settings has a button to install themes.
