I don't think this is true. Workshops, talks and light talks are mandatory given in English, even if you're a German speaker.

Actually it's the other way around. Most talks are in German and there's a (usually quite bad) interpreter translating to English. I don't want to sound rude but have you been at a xxC3? Because I have and I know how the talks were.

I just want to share with you all that https://web.skype.com/ is usable without needing to install anything on your computer. I was able to attend to a Skype meeting without issues. Avoid using the Voice call option, only Vido call works, as a side note you don't need to have a webcam. BTW I was using Google Chrome, not sure if it works with Firefox.

OpenBox is quite popular as it's used in LXDE
or you can go all in and use WindowMaker, I see people saying that there's nothing more suitable for them, it look definitely like a throwback to 1993, but you have to admit that it's rock solid
