From time to time, musicians ask me help about what software they should use. I have a list but I can't post it on the magazine because of licensing stuff (mp3, dvd codecs, etc.). Maybe that could be a good article for my blog too.
Faced a similar issue the other day.. I will have to post it on my blog.. You can post it on the Fedora Planet though, no restrictions there

Whatever you do from here, don't write any new data to the hard drive. There's a tool you can use to actually "unformat" your data, but I don't remember the name off the top of my head. Two or three years ago, I had to use it for the same purpose when I accidentally reformatted a partition of my hard drive…

I'm not sure of the name or what it was, but I know the tool does exist if you Google for it. I think you have to use it as a live CD / USB.

If you've already installed Apache, it should exist. But I think you can check with groups with a certain flag.

Sort of, it's a targeted distribution specifically for disk recovery. I tried searching a bit but couldn't find it easily, but I know said thing exists because I've used it before, and successfully at that.

Ok, I've got a problem - after clean installation of Fedora I've got a black screen after boot with a cursor in the middle, no way to move the cursor or do anything else. Any ideas? I'm using HP ProBook 6470b

 
Doesn't seem to go into single mode as well, as it just goes into a black screen after a moment

What i already found out tough is that virtualized f25 under f24 works perfectly fine BUT for multi-window mode

 
it just craps itself when i give it more than 1 display in remote-viewer

 
and with two graphic units it dies

running wayland and then going to x will render your ui 100% unusuable likely
