any app or indicator that tells the power consumption of system? I have a w520 machine and it comes with 170w adapter. Somehow i am stuck using 135w adapter with it. So need to know if my system will cap the clock in case power consumtion is exceeding

With NVIDIA, it should fall back to X.

It's works nicely but Nvidia has support on Optimus which is offloading method

And I'm trying to get something on it

I'm fairly new to Linux and it took me more than 2 weeks just to solve the vertical screen tearing problem with my nvidia optimus GPU.
