Kim Dotcom was the founder of mega, but not anymore now it's run by some other people and he doesn't seem happy about it.

I've recently switched from Arch to Fedora. One thing I'm noticing is terrible download speeds while using dnf or git clone. Can it be fixed somehow?

Yep it's a fork of it, but it's more community releated and a lot of developers went for it.

I had troubles downloading files through it. Several times they couldn't even make an archive of a folder or I got download error close to the end of the process

Yes, I come to know now. I didn't receive any warning. Or maybe their warning fell into Spam folder and I didn't notice?

That's a possibility.. Once I got the warning, I logged in and saw files I uploaded back in 2009.. ? I don't think any other service would've kept files for an inactive account that long.
