Get around virtualbox wherever possiblem Use virt-manager or gnome-boxes that utilize kvm and qrmu - make sure to install guest drivers for windows guests tough

Did u tried to reinstall nfs package ?
Usually reinstalling stuff is of very little use.

Kohane
26.09.2017
19:39:49
Why ?
Because whatever is working wrong will keep working wrong. Also, if it's a problem of configuration, uninstalling won't delete your config files, so the problem will remain.

Kohane
26.09.2017
19:49:35
If it's problem in configuration ur service won't start but u can remove the package
And? Remove the package won't remove the configuration files.

These are all general things. I think Google would help the most. Or the links @Khadgaray posted. We could help more if you asked more specific questions.

it's a kind of power management that actually designed for windows

So is it safe to disable it ?

ACPI doens’t have much to do with Windows.

Gwindor

It’s a standart for configuring hardware and data interchange between OS, BIOS and motherboard.

It is what controls reboot and shutdown also.

I am not even sure you can disable it.

بدوي

04:17:14
so, what is acpi=off in boot option for?

Google

I think there is a kernel option noacpi or something like that

Gwindor
27.09.2017
04:18:01
Also, if you see some error logs on boot, that is totally fine, if the system boots and works as expected.

I always see ACPI notifications on boot and when I suspend my workstation, but it doesn’t affect perfomance and power management in any way.
