there is a paid fork of wine called crossover and even then iirc its possible to compile it yourself (you pay for precompiled+support)

i like to use an os that has a team that keeps it running good with updates and has good software support and driver support. problem with many gnu linux distros is theres a very tiny team that can only do so much at once and theres limited software support and driver support for things like wifi are sometimes missing but the biggest issue i have is everything is done in command line which makes things a little confusing and command line likes being grammar and spelling police.

Good for you. This is not the place to complain about Linux. And ReactOS is and has been in development by an unpaid team who dedicates their free time to this project, if you're unhappy you can help by coding something, improving any subsystem/filesystem/app or with testing.

welcome to reactos dyslexic edition!!! i tried to change almost everything, i saw a few quirky things and i recorded them (the zip file contains all files, just to have a collector). when the error appeared the vm freezed, and only sending ctrl + alt + del and then choosing to reboot avoided total freeze. strange things seen: not all of the writings changed style. some returned to tahoma. in reactos notepad i chose normal (non italic) opendyslexic font and instead it chose italic, until i closed and opened it again. also, font rendering sometimes froze
