last time i checked, it's still alpha

Iirc, ROS will still be alpha until 0.5, so it will be at least a couple of years. But it's going on well, its development has become faster than a few years ago

I dont undertand modern systems, old times was easy to play with characters, attributes.... Today one tries to make simple things and is extremely difficult, also in Linux, including ncurses to represent EASCII equivalent. Lazarus show character map with unicode draw boxes but show extrange characters at run time. Under consolem idem... Under Linux in term it show ok with IBM850, but under console more difficult again. Old times DOS was great for simple things... Where ReactOS store codepages binaries?
