might explain a whole lot then
Well, I say autism for people that do not know the "Asperger spectre" stuff
Anonymous
Also, to be clear, autism is NOT an excuse for anything I do It just explains stuff

By the way, is it me or 0.4.13 RC 32 is so much better than 0.4.12 ? Like a lot more things work Some services issues btw
https://reactos.org/wiki/Tests_for_0.4.13 If you compare the list "known unfixed regressions in descending order of introduction" with lists from 0.4.12 or before, you can see that the list gets smaller and smaller so bugs are getting fixed :)

with help of a very old version of debian I got RosBE built again and can compile reactos again \o/
Chungy
I wish RosBE would get updated some day. It doesn't build on GCC > 6
Chungy
that probably would be horribly slow, and also inconvenient
Anonymous
Hence why there's Windows, that still compiles it just fine. On Linux, it's a hassle for a while now
Chungy
i don't have any windows machines

Neither do I But sometimes having one is useful

For example, updating a BIOS in Linux is well, not fun
Chungy
works for me

works for me
When will we see motherboard manufacturers offering a proper BIOS update tool for Linux ?
Chungy
Why should they? Interfaces and programs already exist.
Chungy
UEFI even has a standard way of updating itself by placing a file in the ESP.

I was trying to do that last weekend on an 2005 Award base motherboard in a Shuttle XPC that I was in the process of transforming to a Bluray HDMI player I needed to update the BIOS to accomodate dual core CPUs, and to fully support the 2GB of RAM I put in
Anonymous
And all I found was undocumented stuff No real how-tos, no easy way to do it. So I was thinking of doing like I did since then, a Hiren's Boot CD USB pendrive, and then flashing the BIOS through there Not guaranteed to work, but way easier I still have to do it though

Well the software might work
hacker12455
Hardware I doubt it
Raufaserdackel
Pci-x stuff
hacker12455
Then it might work
hacker12455
No guarantees
hacker12455
Since the OS is in alpha state
Raufaserdackel
A good news, since in quality for audio conversation has been no breakthru since then
hacker12455
Well you are free to test it on a spare machine
Raufaserdackel
Tried, failed bcoz of a bunch oft no longer working DVD/cdroms
hacker12455
Ouch
Raufaserdackel

hacker12455
Thanks for linking the updated one
Raufaserdackel
I'll try that. Btw, I follow your project for about a decade now. And I know, leading IT news publishers, don't know that fact. I'll try to tell them.

Funny. Culture clash. That is a reason for a press release! Its a different culture, no one of my younger friends here owns a CD/DVD drive! I am 45 and my newest drive is 15 years old.
hacker12455
Well the main reason that ROS still uses CDs is that the USB stack is not that mature yet

Could be possible to have a bot that if we write #LastRCRelease answers the last link and how to mount it?

That's a great idea... However, every single ROS bot dev is focused on the guys over at Discord I got wind that they are working on the follower to RektOS Don't know who is doing it, as Mcpg can't as of now... Maybe Illen, or j"insert numbers".
Stas'M
We could use the Rose bot's note function for that
We have @FailsBot here, ask @AlexFails for new features
