Because, we had one HP laptop with Vista on it, that was horrible and died quickly, and a cheap ass 350€ Acer slimtower with screen that was quite powerful for the time and for the price, worked well

People had problems with Vista because they bought underpowered hardware. 2GB was necessary to have a pleasant experience.

Vista only had 10 years of life, that's bad
