well, time for tests
Mark
yes
Mark
ok so maybe others dont work
Mark
now your tests are queued in Test%20KVM
Mark
but its lagging behind
Anonymous
it will take a while judging by how long others have been in queue
Никита
Maybe figure out what's wrong with my patch on "windows side"?
Anonymous
@x86corez
Никита
It could very well be a buildbot issue
And that issue is happening on Hackfest, Fortuna is not on ReactOS side. ;D
Stas'M
@x86corez
Ok, let's wait for results
Anonymous
but why two Test KVMs?
Stas'M
but why two Test KVMs?
Hm... don't know, maybe I accidentally triggered force build twice
Anonymous
btw Mark it seems like it is in Wiki, but it's on a VERY VERY small section below a huge wall of text that nobody is likely to even read.
Anonymous
the piping method is fully in-depth whereas com0com method is just a single small paragraph
Anonymous
with "Let me google that for you" links as well to find com0com? :D
Stas'M
Yeah, at least point out somewhere that com0com is better 😅
Mark
no
Mark
there is a page for com0com
Mark
even describing that you need signed driver
Mark
and linking to it
Anonymous
There is a page, but in debugging basics, you're greeted with a wall of instructions for piping the first thing you see.
Anonymous
and on the debugging basics page, it gives the first impression as if piping was the only way

Hmm

Никита
If not, well, idk.
Anonymous

Also check out the wiki to see how to set it up for testing and debugging.
Alejandro Jeditobe
Who will make ReactOS Great today?
rosbridge
<BieHDC> You all together :D i hope you have a good time at hackfest
Anonymous
yeah, it's amazing to see what has been done in such a short amount of time
Anonymous
Compare to only 2 years ago when we were at 0.4.1 to now
hacker12455
Yeah, I agree.
Alejandro Jeditobe
yeah, it's amazing to see what has been done in such a short amount of time
Lot of commits are done by Piere who is not on hackfest
Alejandro Jeditobe
And at least two guys work only on new website
Stas'M
Lot of commits are done by Piere who is not on hackfest
Hackfest atmosphere is everywhere ☺️
Anonymous
@jeditobe I meant the work done in only 2 years, not just hackfest
rosbridge
<BieHDC> please forward this to the people who are making the new website: make it possible to directly link to a FAQ entry. i often need this when i see a "linux+wine" comment or stuff like that. right now you can only link to the FAQ page. thanks

I also second that idea, it would provide quite the benefit. Multiple ways to achieve that, but each browser acts differently. One way would be to mark each q&a with an ID and link it in the url using #id, but not all browsers work with that, other would be to make a on-demand fetch from URL?
Vladislav Brezgin
Btw. the new site would be open source, so anyone would be able to change it
Thats like when you allow to write everything on your wall. And no one guarantee that it would not be "хуй"
rosbridge
<BieHDC> its just a suggestion, do with it as you will
Stas'M
Thats like when you allow to write everything on your wall. And no one guarantee that it would not be "хуй"
But you can't push "хуй" directly to master, only via Pull Requests
Stas'M
And it should be approved by someone from the team 😁
Anonymous
one question though; can it run on IE6
Anonymous
well, then Firefox 3.6
Vladislav Brezgin
Anonymous
I mean the new site :)
Stas'M
@k_inspired you forgot <irony> tag 😏
rosbridge
<BieHDC> if you shouldnt open it in windows, how they should then migrate to reactos? do they need to take linux as a step in between? 😄
Anonymous
wine IE :)
Vladislav Brezgin
Stop! New irc-телега bridge?!
Anonymous
That's not IRC bridge, that's Discord bridge
Jose
Id like better suppot for FreePascal and Lazarus at visual level. Icons, image and text in components not always seems ok. Under windows if works ok. The same installable file for windows i use for ReactOS (32bits, so not 64bit ReactOS). 🙏
Jose
If development team could install it, its easy, create a simple form, drag and drop palette components and set simple things as caption, text, glyph, dimensions and observe visual result in compiled form... and see whath differs from windows equivalent.
Jose
i never enter JIRA, some years ago i reported flippeds icons in the vertical visual image but response was a wine error....until now. I think if affects some visual applications created with Lazarus that developers fix with artificial solutions, probably inverting image before associating to the component, it works of course but is not the correct way. I thing it mainly occur with some .png images but i have not investigated to much, i am not a system or component developer , i am a simple "aficcionado"
Jose
Not only in imagelist, also in direct glyph associated by example to a bitbutton. By example if you install Lazarus IDE, the icons in palette are shown inverted. In some revisions of React the text in the button (caption) appear in design time but not in the compiled version when it runs. This almost works in last revisións (the text), but not show glyphs or images in buttons. Yes for others as timage...
Mark
if someone has a minimal reproducable sample, that would help
Mark
peazip is a huge mess to test with

(inverted icons)

What do the colors on the names mean?
Anonymous
I assume so.
Anonymous
Yes
Anonymous
seems random to me
Stas'M
I think the colors are based on user/chat id
Stas'M
But not very sure
