Although, you could definitely just grab the entire root FS and call it a day

But maybe not the most efficient way. :)

Ansible has a really nice way of doing this. It's been on my list for way too long to set up a system reinstall "playbook"

I always use tar for backups in my own script. It encrypts tarball and upload it into Amazon.

Well, eventually, on the third reboot. I was finally able to use MusicBrainz Picard to query the disc ID and submit it to the database. It was just a pain because half the time, I wasn't even able to open a browser because there wasn't enough disk space available, which didn't make sense…

I checked with df -h and the rewritable space should have had 1.5GB left, but…

Heheh, this is my article. :) I am still using it, but I use both normal IRC and Riot!

Sheogorath

I don't know, Riot doesn't have this IRC feeling. No netsplits, no joins and parts every day, persistent guests... And the protocol itself feel super clumsy. IRC is TCP socket -> ping pong, nick, user, join and you can start... That's something you can build with a named pipe and a telnet session. Matrix with all it's rest code and IDs... :/ Overcomplicated in my eyes

Since I use both IRC and Riot, my username from Riot is jwf|matrix. But if I was only using Riot, I'd just make it my normal IRC nick, jwf.

Ah OK! Because nick veon seems already take (and I suppose by me but I can remember the login pswd) and the nick in irc chat is veon... Then in riot.im I'm registered with veon_fpo so I have 2 nickname one official with fedora cloak and another one with [m] suffix ?

You can reset the password for a NickServ account. From IRC, try /query NickServ and then type HELP, and there should be an option to send a recovery email to whatever email you used to register.

Then, you can log in with the cloak even from Riot. :) This is what I do with my account as well

Hey folks! Just a one-time mention it here since it's also FOSS (and available for Fedora), but I'm trying to start a community for MusicBrainz on Telegram, the open source music encyclopedia that collects metadata on music, artists, and albums from around the world. If you're familiar with it, or are interested in open source projects about music, feel free to check it out. :) https://t.me/musicbrainz
