It's definitely less advanced, but I think it's really friendly, doesn't look intimidating and only requires from you what is absolutely necessary; not something I would recommend to be used by power users, but definitely something I would recommend to people who never used IRC before
Sounds like a client for me. I dislike IRC but I have to use it.

Interesting thing: unlike ddg says, it actually tracks your queries for advertisement, at least while searching in ru-net (uses Yandex in that case). I spent almost an hour to try to prove that I'm mistaken, but unfortunately, it does track you in runet.
So, is there such strong believe in duckduckgo.com?

Exactly what is what doesn't work? Fn keys? Multimedia? Something else?You should be able to configure keys with Gnome Settings and Gnome Tweak Tool.

On the classic ThinkPad keyboard, the multimedia keys work by pressing the Fn + F1...12.
On mine, the 6 row key keyboard, the multimedia keys are the first function, on a T440p with F26 and GNOME Shell the multimedias keys just works.J.18.07.2017

Yes, many Red Hat employees have one of those and they just work out of the box.The only time I had something that was not working was the time I was using Rawhide with i3wm, it was due to i3wm and lack of tunning. With Mate on Rawhide the same Multimedia function keys just worked.

My brother has a T450 with the 3 + 6 cell setup and I know he can get +20hrs of continuous use after a full charge on Windows, but not sure If he could expect something like that on Linux
