I have a Laptop with a WiFi switch key.
Is there a way to enable it on boot?

Kohane

What do you mean with "enable" it? Wifi will be enabled/disabled depending if the switch is on or off.

Agus

I have to touch the key each time I boot it up.
So I was wondering if it was the software's fault.

Kohane

@Kohane Any ideas?
Seems to me that your boot include an option to start with wifi disabled for some reason. Or hardware is not working properly. Or the system doesn't understand hardware signals properly.

Agus

22:13:03
Okay...

Kohane
16.07.2017
22:14:07
It happens to me with Bluetooth. Even if it's disabled I have to switch on and off because the system misunderstands the signal from hardware.
I normally have it disabled, I don't use it. But the system boots with it enabled.

Interesting thing: unlike ddg says, it actually tracks your queries for advertisement, at least while searching in ru-net (uses Yandex in that case). I spent almost an hour to try to prove that I'm mistaken, but unfortunately, it does track you in runet.
So, is there such strong believe in duckduckgo.com?

Gwindor
17.07.2017

It looks like duckduckgo searches the Yandex, not you.

Gwindor

And they don't. Yandex does. :P
Though, it doesn't give Yandex data for targeted ads.

Ikd, but why and how it targets ads with 85-90% accuracity according to my last searching queries? Not "just" last, but after some little time it actually works.

Though, I have an adblock, both plugin and systemwise.

It's definitely less advanced, but I think it's really friendly, doesn't look intimidating and only requires from you what is absolutely necessary; not something I would recommend to be used by power users, but definitely something I would recommend to people who never used IRC before
