But, but, but...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12-hour_clock
Interesting: different languages have different tables

https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/12-%D1%87%D0%B0%D1%81%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%BE%D0%B9_%D1%84%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%82_%D0%B2%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8

But there is 30h time! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhurta

That's weird... Uruguay and UK are mentioned as 12 hours time but that's not what I saw there....
I mean, yeah, we say "At 2 afternoon" but we don't write it that way. Hours are written in 24hrs. Like "Open 9-20"

Vitalii

10:21:36
Does UK use 12h time? O_o I thought, that it is in the USA only.
We do it as well: we can use 9 as for evening, but we use 24h mostly, and there is no am/pm.

Only USA not, all America, 24h is in Europe
Isn't Uruguay in America?

Yes, still America. And no, it's not all America with 12 hours and Europe with 24.
That's why I was surprised. Because in the South American countries I know they use 24. But there are some mentioned as 12. So I'm like....

Google

Kohane

And UK uses 24 as far as I can tell.
Of course, you don't say "Fourteen" because it sounds awkward. But still.

America likes to do a lot of its own things. Time, measurement units, temperature… makes it hard to understand measurements that anyone else in the world uses. ?
Wish we could use metric system and Celsius temperatures, would make my life much less confusing sometimes

"Add half a gallon of milk" And I have to look up for some conversion table because I have no idea what a gallon is. And to worse there are apparently two kinds of it.

the US gallon defined as 231 cubic inches (3.785 L)

In some conversion tables. It's like US gallon and Imperial gallon, something like that. Maybe it's an old measure and nobody use it anymore.
Ah, yeah, that.

When on top of that they measure stuff in cups and spoons, I just give up.
But I often kept trying because the recipe was too delicious to ignore it. But yeah, it can be hard.

Welcome to Fedora on Telegram! Here's what you need to know.
=== Group info / rules ===
(1) Always use English (it's an international chat with people around the world)
(2) Stay on topic to Fedora, Fedora-related things, or free and open source software (on-topic conversations are always higher priority than off-topic – don't be afraid to just ask a question if you need help!)
(3) Follow Fedora's Code of Conduct (https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct)

Updated the pinned message to add a short line to Rule #2 about on-topic discussions. Sometimes we go a little bit off-topic and that's okay, we think, but if someone has a Fedora question and needs help, that should always take priority. :)
