But again, i see all the points against php and many many are true (despite the old links thrown around should be updated) but they actively work against it and laravel eliminates many of these problems.

Well to be fair, C# is not that really bad the language, the idea is rather nice.

And with php7 they actively broke compatiblity and plan to continue so in the future for legacy shit.

I don't see any reason to prefer php over python/ruby, at least they are general purpose languages while php is terrible language outside the web, with being said, we have been over this like million times with Tobias, #phpflamewar so anyone in the future could use the hash instead of repeating all the talk.

Internal and external applications, quick api servers, entire massive frameworks that power and organize things.

Heck, you can do COM integration to do windows-specific excel fuckery.

And again, all of this won't change that php has a massive support base, massive tooling and good frameworks readily available - and it now is fucking speedy.

And sites that list phps shortcomings now have to update regularily and display "fixed since version:" since they work at incredible speeds to make the language more unified, remove cruft and shitty standards and speed up the interpreter - heck, they take input from large frameworks and all.

Yes, I picked up django coz without framework I'm completely disaster snd framework does a lot of stuff behind the scene on behalf of me.

I mean that's why I didn't choose things like Flask.
