in the installation, you should be able to choose the manual partitioning
then, you can create a new lvm image in the unallocated space that will be done automatically
be careful not to override the existing F25 installation
I think it should be that easy

Anxhelo, i could try that on my old bios only laptop, but it has Ubuntu 14.04 and a lot of work docs, i have to back up elsewhere before i remove and reinstall Ubuntu...

I think it shouldn't be a big deal
in the grub menu
it should work just fine
same as if you install two Linux distros for dualbooting, but this time is the same distro type
and the newly installed F26 should be upper in the grub menu when it boots up

Did you met the problem that sox did not approve mp3? And I can't find the sox lib of mp3 on fedora repo but there was it on ubuntu repo
There was a lib called libsox-fmt-mp3, and after installed it, sox did approve the mp3 format, but there was not such a package on fedora repo.....

You might want to add the rpmfusion repo. Mp3 is only coming to Fedora 26 since its patents expired only very recently.wenrui05.06.2017

I only run updates this way because dnf doesnt care to tell you that stuff like this happened and you are now stuck on an old version for x because x-y isnt available in a newer package

Dude i run servers and all of them run cockpit. not ONCE has dnf warned me in any way that cockpit would be held back because something was missing.But for now just add rpfusion for fedora 25

Well, it was removed and unless i specifiy those two parameters it will not install them.And doesnt warn me at all that it wont.
