for text editors and the rest it's a discussion IMHO, heated but civilised (no swearings, etc etc), I am definitely not in position to define anything but IMHO it brings a bit of life into the channel, if anyone would behave like the guy who left (shouting, offending people, constant swearing) then I think it should not be tolerated

I stayed because of the local community and later because of the OS stability even when it runs over newly and fresh Software. If you want to talk about the now, install whatever linux distribution you want, if you want to talk and contribute to the future of LInux then run Fedora.
