I think KDE still uses KWin, what would it use instead? It's possible there's something else on Wayland, but on X I guess it's still KWin

I can recommend downloading over torrent, it's way more resillent and any connection drops is not a problem for it

kind of shame the netinstalls are less and less popular, and livecd/liveusb images are pushed forward; I for example only use the installer and then do the full upgrade after installation anyway. But on the other hand live media is more universal ;)

is there a way to establish workspaces (virtual desktops) grid with working keybinds in Gnome 3? I've tried https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/484/workspace-grid/ but it's just behaves so awful (can't display 3-3 grid even when I set it in the extension config)

I don't use Gnome so I can't help :) but I have to say that after a few months of using the linear, dynamic workspaces I kinda miss them in XFCE where I can have a grid, but I the workspaces aren't dynamic anymore... ;)

I like live media to test the system, to be sure it will work with the hardware I have in hands. But for the rest and if I have a good connection I don't mind what kind of installs is as long as it leaves a working computer.

Extensions are going through deep changes so many of them won't work until those changes are completed and extensions are updated.

damn, Dash to Dock extension is driving me crazy, changing random settings and disappearing from Gnome-tweak-tool. .-.

I use vanilla GNOME Shell.

you don't want to have 11hrs shift. Takes you literally weeks to synchronize your day cycle. Even if using pharma.

A small price to pay. I can sleep 3-4 hours a day without issues and needing coffee.
