In that case you obviously dont need to be reminded of updates

Again, if it will suddenly autoupdate and suddenly 3rd party software I use would stop work, I would loose a day in university.
I update every weekend, follow critical updates and patch them as they are out as well.

Stable OSes like CentOS and Debian don't suffer this though
If an OS breaks on updates you need to rethink your use case...

Fedora isn't among stable OSes in that case.
VMWare Workstation is a 3rd party software.

I am just against Users that fear to update or think shit things will happen (understandable if coming from Windows) and refuse to update for much longer timespans
Like monthly or longer update spans

a thing is intriguing me ?: I have intalled in Fedora Cinnamon Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition. I have changed the icon of Firefox Developer Edition in /usr/share/apps and also its links to the correct icon. I have changed the name of the process too. However, in open applications list and Alt+Tab it appears with Firefox icon. Do someone know how is mapped the icon in these places? Thank you!

Hello folks!
I installed Plasma a week or so ago and decided to play with it. Well, it's failing. There is no window borders, the tasks manager doesn't show the open windows, System Settings crashes and activities in general don't work. Any idea of what could possibly be wrong? Is KDE 5.9

Yeah, but this problem is new. Never happened before. And it's not the first time I use KDE & Gnome in the same installation.
Maybe there's something missing? Some package that I should install?

let me interject for a moment: what you call "gnu/linux" is a mere set of programs that hijack the mightly linux kernal.
to create an illusion of GNU system

Well, I installed some stuff and will see if it works now. If not, I'll try making a new user. But I don't think that's a solution. It used to work fine without fidling with users. :-/

Now I think about it, is a Debian community a related group?
Hmm, I don't think so. My idea with the community groups was that they should be groups that are relevant to Fedora users or contributors, like software on Fedora or projects about Fedora. I guess a larger Linux group is cheating a bit, but I still feel like Linux, as a kernel, counts for that.
