after installing AMDGPU-PRO package If I have the AVI port in use display driver crashes, I unplugged the AVI monitor and saw the gnome loading screen on my monitor running out of the graphics card for a minute or so then its just been black since then.

Gwindor

Gwindor

02:39:12

Sadin
03.05.2017
02:39:24
Shows gnome loading for a second
then no signal
if I have the AVI screen connected after I select kernel it says something went wrong and tells me to logout :P

Gwindor
03.05.2017
02:39:56
Hmm, try to plug in monitor to internal GPU after it would show you gnome logo.

Sadin

02:46:52
yup

Gwindor

Now, I don't have any experience of making a machine working with two GPUs. All stuff I worked with in my life either used integrated GPU or didn't have it at all and used discrete one.
So since now I can only assume.

system boots and runs on it without AMD driver installed
I can check
let me do a reinstall of the AMD stuff, then I will try that on boot cause the startup time is pretty slow :)

Gwindor
03.05.2017
02:54:10
Yeah, thats understandable. :)

Sadin
03.05.2017
03:03:13
I can in fact turn it off… But what happens if I reboot and that was all I could access the machine from
im scared haha

Sadin

03:06:06
Oh my Gwindor
I had totally forgotten about disabling onboard graphics
