Huh. Interesting. Anyone had issues with a group not showing new messages in Telegram Android? I just opened the group and had three hours of messages magically appear.

I've have similar issue quite often. And some times, it was synced on chat list, but when i'm opening the chat room there's no new messages that appear on the chat list preview.

All other groups and individual messages are fine.

It was only with groups that I have muted notifications for.

Try playing in Settings>Notifications with tue keepalive and such at the bottom of the page

Because wayland doesnt use xorgs input because programs can globally listen fornall keypresses, like all your passwords, without any special permissions.

You can bug the maker of the software to support waylands input

Hi guys, I am long time windows user, trying to tap into linux, wondering what is the difference between ubuntu, centos, elementry, kali and fedora, I have tried all 5 previously mentioned and dont see any difference other than preinstalled application it comes with.

currently i have installed fedora 25

In few words, main difference between them is different default applications set, different kernel versions and/or patches applied, different packets management system, slightly different packages set in application repositories.

For new Linux user, those things are not really relevant. But CentOS is mostly used as server OS, Kali is used by offensive security people. Ubuntu and Elementary are commin out-of-the box choices for people who are just getting started with Linux. And Fedora is for people, who not just getting atarted, but also want to get into Linux and want to stay on it. All above is an IMO of simple Fedora user. :)

Because nvidia is a bag of dicks that doesnt allow or open how the open source driver can set the card frequency. Making it stuck at whatever the bios sets at boot (likely medium power level)

Only a few cards can have their speed set by nouveau thanks to brilliant reverse engineering and awesome hackers breaking the cards open and those cards, surprise surprise, operate roughly equally under nouveau as they do under "Lets build node.js and User Tracking into our driver" Nvidia

In general, the difference is mainly the package manager and repositories. There are bigger differences between desktops than between Linux systems themselves. Specifically, the difference between the aforementioned systems are as @gwindor said, their purpose. Kali is not a general operating system like Ubuntu, Mint or Fedora; it's used for security works. Centos is meant for servers, so it will lack of some applications that are irrelevant for this purpose, and will keep software versions for a long time because it's mean to be hard rock stable. Ubuntu, Elementary and Fedora are general purpose operating systems, although Fedora has different "labs" and "spins" offering versions of the system more targeted to particular areas like scientific work, security, design, etc. Hope this helps you and feel free to ask anytime.
