I personally see no problem with it, signed extensions only is a feature that normal users can benefit from, from a security point of view

Egor

Yeah, that's what I tried to say
But if they don't provide the configure option to disable that force signing behavior, Fedora Packagers can't patch it, because of the trademark.

Packaging unbranded binary builds is illegal for Fedora too. Everything packaged in official repos must be built from source. There are some exceptions, like firmwares, but that is it.

So, if Mozilla don't let Fedora to disable this signing enforcing DRM, firefox can be excluded from official repositories. And either Epiphany will be made as default browser (which works, and even supports multi-process as webkit does, but has less features and lacks of extensions) or it will be replaced by IceCat (or same rebranding waste of time).

What they called "Google Drive support" in 3.18 was something crappy, which breaks files if you dare to open them in some program.
true, but it's the thought that counts :) i do expect improvements, this is more like the start of it

But if you do not need to configure anything, then it just works. Do you really need to configure anything? Even the position of the panel in programs?
Well, I use a surround screen configuration, by default I'm unable to span my wallpapers thru them. I'm unable to change the shell theme, I can't change the default sounds, I can't configure a program to autostart using a simple way, I can't change the gdm greeter background, I can't see the progress of my file transfers .. And so on... Those are little things that should be accessible by default. Don't you think?

There are a discussion about enabling LTO by default for Mesa release builds... Not for significant performance boost, but to reduce resulting binaries size at least twice. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Mesa-LTO-May-2016

Well, why the hell Fedora still does'nt use LTO there possible?

is it possible to remove nautilus without braking GNOME? I have found Caja (file manager from Mate Desktop) more useful than Nautilus, Who remember that useful function that allowed the user to split the same window into to two pane? On nautilus it used to work by pressing F3, but someone got the brilliant idea to remove it.

To achieve this on current Nautilus you have to: 0. Open Nautilus 1. Press Ctrl+N 2. start+left_arrow 3. Alt+` 4. Ctrl+right_arrow

Recently somebody mentioned on a local event: If you copy file from your computer to an usb key, and close the current window, the copying process is interrupted just because the copying process NOW is a sub-process from the current window. WTF! This is the so called «GNOME Human Interface Guidelines»? Even amateur, hobbyist, non-remunerate devs do better than some GNOME Devs.

Even MidnightCommander is more useful than Nautilus.

Egor, Thx for your answers. I think we're gonna be good discussing partners ! ? Thx for pointing me to solutions. I have to say that I had already found them around but thx anyway this could be useful for anyone here. I'm not confortable opening a bug, I don't feel those are bugs, those are functions that devs chose to delete, I don't understand why, but it has been their choice. There is nothing bad about openning a bug, even if this is just a feature request. People avoiding that step, usually don't really want GNOME to become better. They like to just point a finger on it, say "this is bad", and escape it thenever possible.

True. But anyway, Cinnamon has been kinder to me than Gnome. I'm really tired of GShell breaking after some upgrade because something is no longer working the way it was. And I'm not talking about the extensions only. I like the idea of Gnome 3. But the DE can drive me crazy sometimes.
