Yeah. Zenbooks are great. But I don't think they are very popular among open-source community. Thinkpads win hands own there :)

Aren`t there any laptops sans UEFI?
Why without UEFI?, most of the people out there suggesting to not use UEFI is people that clearly don't understand how it works.

 
Last I heard a lot of minor Linux distros don`t work 100%
Fedora and Debian user here, triple booting alongside W8 in UEFI mode with Secure boot enabled since 2014.

On Debian I have a setup that I don't want to start up every 6 months.

 
I`d still wait for UEFI Linux support to improve...
Just make sure you use a proper and reliable USB creator, Fedora Media Writer, it copy the ISO file in raw mode, the ISO file system by itself has built in UEFI support, BUT most of the people out there complaining about lack of UEFI linux support is people using Unetbootin, lilix, Rosa and some other stuff that does not provide UEFI boot support during installs. Stop the FUD.
