LTS.
LTS, third part deb, a lot of guide, familiarity.

You could improve by improving stability and version upgrades continuing with Fedora Mag, doing more marketing. Ubuntu is a bit the standard for Linux devs, even if a lot of packages are really old and you have to install from third parts. Luckily the support from third part, IMHO, is the best in linux due to the fact that Ubuntu is viewed more or less as a "standard". @michalrud

First I tried Debian in this, but got a Kernel Panic right after boot. I was planning to install Arch in it but tried Fedora and everything worked out of the box.

Functional for a kid I mean, the laptops is intended to my 3 yo child

Then I tried Xubuntu, a joke is you call "For little resources machines"

Now I tried LXQt Alpha, but anaconda looks weird

You should try to make a minimal install and on top of it try SoaS or use the Spinn directly.

Hmmm. Today I will make a fresh install of F25 or F26. Is the spin available for F26? LXQT?

Sounds like a bug. The sad thing about 32bits hardware is that the people working on Kernel Development on Fedora doesn't have the hardware to test on bare metal.

I will suggest to do a minimal install using the Everything Netinstall iso. You can install it by selecting it right from the menu or later via dnf group install...

Ohh, If I'm not mistaken, the minimal RAM required to install Fedora was 1GB, for less than that I used to edit a parameter on Anaconda from a Live Media.

A minimal install
During the install Anaconda provides the whole set of drivers, so chances are it will detect the Wifi card, but if you only install the minimal set of packages it will not install the drivers for wifi, so later after the install you will have to rely on wired internet connection.

Mmmm, I didn't have any problem with installation system
This was in the F15-F17 days that I used to play with 512MB, I think Anaconda team did this to keep users with 512MB away from GNOME Shell or KDE, the thing boot up the Live Spin but was not able to install it XD.
