Yes, but I prefer to use sudo less.

1. Enable RPMFusion. 2. sudo dnf install gcc kernel-headers kernel-devel akmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs 3. sudo akmods --force 4. sudo dracut /boot/initramfs-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r) --force 5. Reboot.

And never install drivers using official *.run files.

Because RUN files creates lots of untracked by package manager files and will cause you problems on uninstall or upgrades.

I've been reading some stuff about that and I saw soething about Prime to manage when to use Intel's VGA or Nvidia... Is Prime included on that installation code?

(Sorry, as you can see I'm a noob on that )

On NVIDIA Optimus you should install Bumblebee: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bumblebee

Don't install driver from RPMFusion on NVIDIA Optimus hardware.

Actually, you don't need Bumblebee. I have nVidia Optimus and it works out of the box on F25.

On my desktop with NVIDIA GTX 1070 opensource drivers are very unstable. It hangs whole system. NVIDIA proprietary works fine.

When I google for my model and Nvidia fedora doesn't comeup any good info :/

Don't install driver from RPMFusion on NVIDIA Optimus hardware.
Another question: the code you posted earlier sudo dnf install gcc kernel-headers kernel-devel akmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs is using RPMFusion, isn't it?

try bumblebee
I'm before that part yet lol I haven't even installed a driver lol

I'm confused because if the proprietary driver has some problems to update and it's not recomended to use RPMFusion or Negativo17 (the only 2 I know) i'm stuck here D:

If USD200 is your budget, you should give a try to used or refurbished ThinkPads on ebay, amazon or lenovo official outlet.

bumblebee uses modified nvidia drivers
I'm reading about that tight now: Do not use the NVidia video drivers from http://rpmfusion.org/, http://negativo17.org/. I’m sure they are fine drivers and I am not trying to criticize them at all. But they DO NOT support or work with bumblebee without modifications.

Thinkpads can be very cheap and they're good indeed. And you can install any Linux you like there

Installing fedora in machine would be good at 4 giga ram at least, 2 giga I don't know whether it is enough
You can use any other desktop. Mate, XFCE & Cinnamon they all work well with 1 or 2 GB RAM.

Thank you all for the reply. Sadly I live in Italy, there's no right refurbished thinkpad here. Keep in mind that here people are still selling Pentium 4 laptops at around 80€
