No. Don't do this. It built against static outdated openssl. This is a huge security problem.

Yes. Official half-proprietary client built with lots of static outdated Ubuntu libraries including openssl.

COPR contains repackaged official half-proprietary blob.

Btw, so RPMFusion would have a package telegram-desktop. And Russian Fedora has same named package now. I have both enabled, which one would be used for telegram-desktop in my case if I would want to update?

Tobias?

else you should disable the package in one of the repos because afaik there is nothing defined to handle this case

I think that after checking the repos it should come up with a question if it detects packages with the same name, say Telegram in this case, and it should say press 1 to install from repo X or 2 from repo Y

Looks like Netflix is blocking Fedora users.

I removed the "Fedora" part from my user-agent and it works now.

Well, no. It's just a bug with User-Agent detection.

There's an article for medialess installation on Fedora 18 doc, but it's not mentioned on Fedora 25. So I didn't try it

Usernames must be unique and you probably shouldn't use the same password for two accounts

It doesn't let you because that user already exists and has a folder named after it. You will have to choose a different name.

@parafer you can set a hard password in the gnome gui, then go to a terminal and do "sudo passwd <username>" (where username is the new user) and change the password to something non-compliant

@xvitaly you do if it is for a different user.. See the thread.. Parafer wants to create a new user

Then you can create user, run su -l username and passwd to change it's password.
