Fedora (Facebook) Fedora is available in several languages. These translations are contributed by the community. And you could help! Check out the Fedora 26 virtual translation sprint happening this week. You could help bring Fedora to your language! https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/fedora-26-translation-sprint/ link

No. you don't need to be a professional, only to know at least two languages: English and another one. I think it would be a great contribution if translate something into Arabic.
I know English Arabic and French, besides translation I meant programming language, I just know python and C# and they are not used in fedora development as I know, thanks for ur answer.

C is a good choice in any Unixy environment, but be careful, it can be a nasty language...

Personally I use C and Lua a LOOOT...

Michał

12:28:59
I can recommend C++ but well, it's my opinion :D

but getting into Lua lately

Marc
11.04.2017
12:30:01
C++ is stroustroups aprils fool that eventually went viral and was actually being used ;)

But hey, if you know C++, then Lua is fun (and easy) to integrate into software written in C++ and make it scriptable...

Google
Michał

C++11 onwards is actually pretty cool

I know :) Also if someone forces you to use JavaScript, then Duktape is pretty nice, even though I would pick Lua any time if asked

Marc

Since I am more a kernel hacker, I prefer C over C++, but then I also used Lua in the (NetBSD) kernel.

To make the kernel scriptable. Actually a fun thing.

Python is used in Fedora quite a bit
For what purpose in particular ?

C is a good choice in any Unixy environment, but be careful, it can be a nasty language...
I studied it in the first semester in university, we study now python, C++ and php are studied as well, I went in depth in C# and python Honestly, the only real programming language is the HOLY C, it feel like u talk to machine

Yes, and the pointer is the ghost in the machine...

all language tend to be a wrapper to something else happen behind the scene, for example C# on xamarin are implemented to java and swift to build mobile app, I don't consider that real programming

Stil good one to familiarize the kid with even programming vocabulary or main concepts
Good in theory, but most kids were less than interested in it so even if the intentions were good, it was pretty pointless

also, it was ~2005 and we were doing Turbo Pascal. seriously

No in the forth year of university i should decide, I love both do it's hard
