I'd love to get one, though
but you have to preorder it, and it's ~400eur of downpayment

Yeah, I'd love to get Dragonbox.
But it is expensive.

I don't really know any analogs to it.

so thanks but no thanks, if I'd be able to go to the shop and buy it for ~400eur I'd consider, but this, well, nope

There is one thing about 701 that I really love. A modem.

right now in Poland the only two situations you've got a landline is that you're either an old person and always had it so you still have it, or you've got it with cable tv and broadband so you've got a phone lying somewhere at home and don't use it anyway

Google

Michał
06.04.2017
07:25:49
mobile phones have phased out the landlines pretty succesfully
but there's definitely a lot of romanticism in having a modem, going to the phone booth and connecting to a BBS... going full cyberpunk with it ??
the hardest part would probably be finding an actual phone booth

We talk about a lot of things not specific to Fedora but about FOSS so I see no reason why it's bad to share what other distributions are doing
It's one thing to send a link to an article about something another distro is doing, but quite another to go blatantly telling people in a Fedora group to use another distro
