This is pointless. Chinese also speak English, specially when they want to interact to others. Also, saying "Chinese" is a bit deceiving as the differences between areas and ethnias are so huge that people from a city may not understand people from another just because they use a different type of Chinese.

GNOME's way is radically different when compared to others, like I said. For someone who has only used Windows XP in their life, GNOME is probably weird and unusable. They would rather use a Windows XP similar desktop.

Now you have to balance learning time vs working time. What matters is total time and normally total time will be worse. I use a lot of bash shortcuts and I'm a vim and tmux power user because I use them a lot. For writer I only need to know how to make basic stuff

Because being good is not the only thing you need to consider when you choose a DE. For example, In my case I use mostly GTK+ apps, so a QT-based DE wasn't an option for me
