Yesterday I successfully moved from Ubuntu 14.04 to Fedora, and without any embarrassment at once decided to install 24 alpha, including to send bug reports. Frankly, I am more than pleasantly surprised, but even Fedora 24 alpha behaves as it would be a very strong and stable release. I imagine what will happen next. Yes, there were some difficulties with proprietary codecs, but I do them all successfully resolved.

I never used Alpha myself, but Beta worked fine for me time ago.

I was advised to try, and I'm quite bold, pre-arranging a backup of your current system, he rushed into the fray. Fedora 24 alpha is more stable than many of ubuntu's.

Here is a problem! I am using gnome on fedora and i am running it on my MacBook dual booted. At times when i put it to sleep and then start using it after a while certain icons disappear. Even alt+tab doesent show icon or text. I tried sudo service gdm restart When i do this the whole screen turns blank and nothing happens.

Packages that are in beta arrived in normal updates last week and before. Beta was frozen just to get ready for the release.
