k is a parameter and tries to get for every class k means
Them you look for the distance between the point u want to check and every mean you find

u can use euclidean , manhattan , mahalanobis , etc
the objtive is that if you give an object the classifier tells you wich class it belongs
imagine you want to classify orange and lemons
you can use the color and size for example
to know the point x,y that it belongs
but u can have more dimensions
For example in one exam from last year that they give us as example i use 14 caracteristics

Yes, of course.
Also, we used a different software because the OLPC/XO netbooks have very limited hardware.

Some fedora software is not present neither in official repos, neither in rpmfusion neither in some copr mantained by the developers. Negativo17 is filling this gap but I would like more to have this software in a "more official" repo, not a one man mantained repo.

The hard part (to select what to install and what not) is delegated to the user. This can't be a solution for all
You can mantain package also in official repo

Having the AUR doesn't force you to install proprietary software.

What's more, I have seen software not available in .Deb packages but available in the AUR.
A deb that installs a repo?
And then you have 500 repos on your system?

Debs or executables
