Wait, I'm confused.

I was anti-comparing Cinnamon to GNOME 2.

Stating the differences instead of the similarities (=anti-comparing).

Welcome!

Cinnamon is very customizable and with hot corners you can set applications view like Gnome 3 (and the other corners for other things). Using this and Alt+F2 I don't use the Windows-like start button. I have not tried KDE, therefore I can't compare it ?.
KDE & Cinnamon are similar in their approach in user ability to customize. KDE allows you to set design application as per your need without changing the whole desktop using a gui

Good day, can somebody help me to solve an issue with Nginx? 1. I have fedora 24 2. SELinux is in Permisive mode 3. I installed nginx with dnf and then ran sudo systemctl start nginx.service sudo systemctl enable nginx.service 4. I configure a virtual server server { listen 80; server_name linuxatuni.smirnoff; root /home/zodiac/Development/softbutterfly/linuxatuni.com/public/; index index.html; location / { try_files $uri $uri/ =404; } error_page 404 /404.html; location = /40x.html { } error_page 500 502 503 504 /50x.html; location = /50x.html { } } 5. In the file /etc/hosts I added he line 127.0.0.1 linuxatuni.smirnoff 6. And in the browser http://linuxatuni.smirnoff got me the correct result. 7. But after restar my machine http://linuxatuni.smirnoff bring me to the default site 8. Default site is disabled but http://linuxatuni.smirnoff shows me the default site 9. I disabled nginx sudo systemctl stop nginx.servicethe default site persit According to sudo nginx -tthe configuration is ok When I delete the line 127.0.0.1 linuxatuni.smirnofffrom /etc/hosts file, the fdefault site persist I dont have any oter server program, only nginx, my fedora installation is new. I dont know what is happen! :'(

You definitely either have some other server running or linuxatuni.smirnoff doesn't go where you think it does.

Although, you shouldn't have a slash at the end of the root path

It should be root /home/zodiac/Development/softbutterfly/linuxatuni.com/public;

Also, your error pages are completely wrong

You should research what location actually does

Martin

21:56:34
Error pages are in the root

And Removing the trailing slash not solve problem

The configuration is the same that I always use in any other distro

Google

I can tell from your indentation that you don't understand how the error pages work

However, yes, neither of those are related to the problem

The problem is that you have something else running

Try killall -9 nginx

Martin
12.11.2016
22:02:36
nginx is dead and linuxatuni.smirnoff is showing the default nginx page

Paul
12.11.2016
22:03:34
Run host linuxatuni.smirnoff

What's the IP?

Martin
12.11.2016

is on my pc

Paul

```
Paul
Then it shouldn't be loading in your browser.
What browser are you using?
Martin
but is loading
Or all its caches, for that matter.
Martin
Does anybody know Ding-Yi Chen from Red Hat?
His website may be compromised. Try visiting dchen.fedoraproject.org
For me, it redirects to qfind.net, which serves malicious software (search for "qfind net" and you'll find tons of forum posts). My router automagically blocks access to qfind.net but others may not be so lucky. Also it looks damn bad for a Red Hat employee's website to be pointing to malware.
Anyone could bring it up in the channel, but it would be a good idea for a Fedora Infrastructure team member to look into it.
