It's faster, but I can't tell how faster it really is because the laptop I have with HDD also has a slower processor and half the RAM.

For most models you want the backlit brand new keyboard (optional addon when ordering) and manually putting in new thermal paste (they drop way too much inside) and swapping the hdd/ssd it comes with helps.
