But I do remember life without computers and smartphones.

anyone have an oryx pro and fedora with dual graphics working?

system 76 oryx pro
I can only seem to get one or the other graphics driver working and not both (as in unable to switch from one to the other without having to reinstall drivers etc)
I've put pop back on it as it's easy to just select which driver I want to use and reboot
I would prefer to use fedora though as I'm just used to using it.

Damn. I've had internet almost all my life
I used to browse internet from my dad's office computer since I was 5 years old or so. Mainly, I played those miniclip games. It was windows 2000. Didn't have internet at home till I was about 14 years old.
Of course the ability to obtain internet was there, but my mom didn't want to have internet at home.

Why is this the case?
Idk. I can reproduce this at every boot,(first boot on each day) the HDD led gets lit up for about 12 minutes, boot taking about 3 -6 minutes while login in to the desktop. I have removed gnome software, packagekit but still no luck. But Manjaro is significantly faster and this is embarrassing for us.

Does dnf have a bug? I occasionally browsed the rpmfusion website today and found that several packages were updated a week ago. Although I updated with dnf every day, these packages have not been updated! Later, after I deleted the /var/cache/dnf/rpmfusion-free-updates* file and directory, I re-run dnf update and finally I can update it normally!

How it is different from tracker-miner?
mlocate is an ages-old service that has a single database all users can read and can instantly query it because its a list of filenames and filenames only.
Only useful if you make use of the "locate" command.
Trackers database stores
filenames
metadata
exif tags
epub content
creation time of files
and
and

And its way, way faster - to index and to query.
Its just a compressed filename store really.

More data to parse, on less (especially server) systems, slower to query.
But way way way more features.

hmm. I was able to uninstall mlocate.
Now I hope my HDD won't jam up when they both try to index.

graphical.target reached after 42.070s in userspace
Much better!?
