And thats why i will not recommend changing the design of plymouth, login managers and co.
It wasn't Plymouth, it was SDDM. Normally it works fine, and @hellbanger (I think) is using that theme without problems. But for some reason it died in my laptop. Now I have another one, quite nice as well, and works as expected.

There is a rescue mode option every time you boot up. You can login with commnd line then change the file
Well, I tried booting from the rescue option and couldn't do anything, so I used the live USB that was the fastest way.

Just 9 days? Wow! Time passes quickly!

Hope the upgrades aren't too killing on my connection ?

"login manager"
Okay, yeah.

But I have changing themes since KDE4 & KDM

And yes, sometimes a theme doesn't work, but usually it happened to me when they weren't compatible or too old. Normally the "Get new stuff" thing will rule those out.

Whether it is the official compiled version or the rpmfusion version of Telegram Desktop 1.4.3, when you click on the image to enter the full screen state, the desktop system's taskbar will still be displayed at the front end, but not like the 1.3.x version, behind the image.

AFAIK, no, there isn't. You install them using DNF. It might work with Dnfdragora. But if you mean a separated app specific to install drivers, no, I'm not aware of that.

Tobias?

Those shouldnt use the nvidia driver then, because nvidia is known to have huge problems every so often on new kernels because nvidia isnt fast or caring really about supporting newer linux kernels.

what a pity .. it almost makes me angry to see that ubuntu has these drivers installed by gui
Dnfdragora, Discover and Software are all GUI programs and will offer the drivers. What a dedicated app for?

Tobias?
21.10.2018
17:38:20
If you have nov*deo and want to use it for 3d under fedora (that is, not running noveau) you'll likely be better off with a distro that is way more "lts".

Kohane

Besides, those dedicated apps from Ubuntu never worked for me. Drivers, codecs, etc., they would keep offering to install the missing stuff without doing effectively anything-

Also ontop, what is your gpu? Nouveau has experimental reclocking support for lots of modern gpus from nivida, making the installation of blobs fully uneeded!

"Its"? Frankly Tobias, this is not useful.
Long Term Support. Hugely outdated and unmaintained packages (for most lts distros that arent commercial) but less often changing kernels.

Personally I never found Ubuntu stuff very helpful. It never worked for me. I don't see any reason not to use the GUI stuff that already exists like Dnfdragora or Discover.

You can easily install drivers from there.

Ubuntu has a dedicated gui that lists all devices and offers to install their blobs. But fedora at most offers dragora to show the nvidia package.

But as said, most beginners shouldnt tweak the drivers in their system anyway, because of hoe much can go wrong and them needing to be able to recover from an update.

Yes, of course, tweaking is out of question. But I think he means that little app that pops up in Ubuntu saying "It seems that are some drivers missing, would you like to install them?" followed by a list of the drivers that are missing. It's similar to what Ubuntu does with Codecs.

I understand that it can be nice for an absolute noob, but I don't see it as a must. It's possible to do the same from any of the GUI apps provided to install stuff in Fedora.
