1. Don't use VirtualBox on Fedora. Use KVM instead. 2. If you really want VirtualBox install it from RPM Fusion repository.

I highly doubt you need virtualbox, it's incredibly rare :P

You can convert vbox images to kvm compatible images so no you dont.

It is, but many institutes, particularly the private ones, don't aim to teach but to make money. If their students learn useful stuff or not is secondary.

there should NOT be any configuration from your side to play video in firefox in most cases, almost all websites use html5 video which doesnt require adobe flash.

last time i used facebook it required me to install flash player, you should install that for firefox https://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2010/install-adobe-flash-player-10-on-fedora-centos-red-hat-rhel/
