Vlc uses dbus screensaver which automatically disables sleep while Playing a video. (Wayland is supported). Which desktop environment you're using?

So, in a few hours the package will run, for the first time ever, properly on fedora. xD
And it was in the repos!
I think more software needs automated openqa tests.

sequeler still cant mysql because the gnome sql libs are built against mysql and not mariadb and more.

sequeller cannot support MySQL?

Tobias?
19.10.2018
09:52:38
but the gnome libs it uses in the backend are expecting mysql libraries.
these are neither built nor available for fedora anymore and the files have been renamed/abi levels updated for mariadb libs.

Yes. It is so easy to make changes in a gigantic source then create a patch from it. If anything goes wrong we can roll back easily.
Yesterday I read this:
I use emacs, which might be thought of as a thermonuclear word processor. It was created by Richard Stallman; enough said. It is written in Lisp, which is the only computer language that is beautiful. It is colossal, and yet it only edits straight ASCII text files, which is to say, no fonts, no boldface, no underlining. In other words, the engineer-hours that, in the case of Microsoft Word, were devoted to features like mail merge, and the ability to embed feature-length motion pictures in corporate memoranda, were, in the case of emacs, focused with maniacal intensity on the deceptively simple-seeming problem of editing text. If you are a professional writer – i.e., if someone else is getting paid to worry about how your words are formatted and printed – emacs outshines all other editing software in approximately the same way that the noonday sun does the stars. It is not just bigger and brighter; it simply makes everything else vanish.
>-- Neal Stephenson, In the Beginning was the Command Line
I think the same applies to the Git.

internet access via proxy only.

$ export http_proxy="http://USER:PASSWORD@PROXY_SERVER:PORT"
$ export https_proxy="https://USER:PASSWORD@PROXY_SERVER:PORT"
$ export ftp_proxy="http://USER:PASSWORD@PROXY_SERVER:PORT"
In your case it will be DOMAIN\user
