I wanted it to be on automatic when I moved my mouse down

So I selected that option and after rebooting... nope

Not there at all anymore

Maybe I'm missing some drivers or something, because my touchpad had no options to configure it until I installed the legacy package for touchpad.

Unrelated: Does anyone know a good way to have Instagram Desktop in KDE/Fedora? I installed an app suggested by someone here, named Ramme, but it keeps giving Java errors, plus it looks very odd, all long narrow, as if it was a phone.

No. As long as it works like the Desktop thing from Windows.

I donnu about the windows app experience, but this looks pretty good https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/desktop-for-instagram/nlhjgcligpbnjphflfdbmabbmjidnmek?hl=en

The good thing about the Ramme app is that it calls the file browser instead of using its own thing (that is horrible BTW).

It's just webapp

You can do the same by going to instagram.com from Chromium and saving the page as a shortcut

Is there a way to force dnf to update a particular package?

It doesn't want to update it because metadata_expire is set to a rather long time

I don't want to do dnf clean metadata && dnf update each time this happens

Kohane

I don't care the DMs, I just want to upload pictures from my computer. The desktop app for Windows does that. The Ramme app does it too but I can't maximise it so it's difficult for me, that I need glasses, to see the photos.

Is there a way to force dnf to update a particular package?
Did you try dnf update package ? Where "package" is the program you want to update?

@GhAliesh I tried that extension. I can't upload and post pictures, so it's not what I'm looking for.

oh, it's pretty hard to find a native client for fedora, maybe install one on your windows machine

I want to be able to upload pictures and post them as I do with the Desktop app in Windows, and (I suppose) it's possible to do from mobile. All my photos are in my computer for obvious reasons, so a mobile app makes no sense.

I have one installed, I was trying to avoid to login to Windows first every day just to upload a picture to Instagram. Everything else works fine in Linux, and I don't use Photoshop for everything, only the pictures didn't come out completely fine.

I was trying to use less Windows.

Yep. It said "nothing to do". I did then with —refresh, but it downloaded metadata for every repository

It is extremely cheap for dedicated servers and has pretty good tiny cloud machines on offer.

They also apparently like to nullroute your servers if you don't have DDOS Protection in place and are attacked

Tobias?
18.10.2018
09:39:11
https://www.hetzner.com/ they are available in several countries

Nullrouting on ddos attacks has stopped since they now have a backbone beyond good and evil and added more ddos detections.

Easy apis, integrated into everything, can deploy everything. Google has a ton of devs and they make it as nice to use as they want it for themselves.

good luck finding a provider that doesn't do this
The issue was that their support staff used to be crap when it came to turning back on the servers

So give someone a good ol attack for like, half a minute and their server might be down for like 3 Days

And thats why hetzner recently lifted all bandwidth limits for their dedicated servers. xD
