and FREE!

so as the alternative we have IRC which has a high entry bar for newbies, or Matrix which is... well, either someone would host it or it's a no go, I tried to use the official server and the speed was unacceptable
in my opinion, however sad it is, there's not much competition to Telegram when looking for approachable, casual chat platform
