Better try yumex-dnf. gnome-software is not needed on cinnamon.

By the way, there is a cinnamon spin itself . . checkout spins.get fedora.org

yumex-dnf is package manager, not apps manager. Software won't let you install something, which does not have appstream data. But yumex-dnf is like GUI for dnf.

Can you try running VLC in the command line and opening the video that is crashing your system? That should produce logs *somewhere*. I'm not that great at troubleshooting VLC, but it should be generating and producing this info somewhere. You could also check the ABRT crash reporter app thingie. Sometimes the crashlogs are there.

I have a problem . when I use WiFi in GNU/Linux it automatically turns off after 5 minutes of activity. In windows 10 there is no such problem with the WiFi . I am using dual boot. Any solution that can help me is requested?
