What kind of video are you starting? Are you viewing a video? What software are you trying to use when viewing the video? Or are you capturing video, e.g. a webcam? How are you capturing the video? In either case, when you open the application, do you see anything before it crashes?

Diego
25.04.2016
04:33:52
i'm using vlc
i think that i have all codecs
no.. no messages of crashs
any type of video.. avi..mp4... mkv...
i just click to watch

Justin
25.04.2016
04:35:04
Can you try running VLC in the command line and opening the video that is crashing your system? That should produce logs *somewhere*. I'm not that great at troubleshooting VLC, but it should be generating and producing this info somewhere.
You could also check the ABRT crash reporter app thingie. Sometimes the crashlogs are there.

Diego

where is abrt ?
i'm using cinnamon on fedora
i remove gnome for complete
and install cinnamon
and i try execute with XINE too
but is equal..
logged off.. and i have to go again with password
to log system
to logged in system*
i guess that need some codec or multimedia
which was removed along with the gnome
because in gnome the video work normally
and after i remove gnome.. and install cinnamon.. dont work
