As I see, it's not loaded (I logout and login). Any idea?
I am using KDE

I pick Stallman's side, sorry.
I do respect Mr. Richard Stallman for his GNU Project, infact here in Indonesia we always encourage everyone to used GNU/Linux instead of Linux alone. but in The other hand, i prefer "open source" term rather than free software, it gives clear explanation and clear distinction to free ware. Also it gives opportunity to programmer for make a living, from his open source codes, and contribution.

Let's the Software War begins:
Free Software vs Open Source.

Can anybody help with this?

Uhmm... I think the answer is obviously Open Source.

Azis
27.08.2016
07:01:45
But the Freedom, It is not enough with the fact of being open. T_T
Open source its a fluid concept, it can be applied to another field and so, for example open hardware and open knowledge. Lets say if you can make a BTS cellular, and want to share your blue print possessed to The rest of The worlds. which one term you one to pick? Free BTS and Open BTS?.

Naresh

My vote is for open source

Elio
27.08.2016
07:13:02
open source and free software can be about the same thing, but they are due to different motivations
Open Source is due to the business model
Free Software is due to the social aspect, the freedom

Google

Elio
27.08.2016
07:13:43
But the product is virtually the same
If something is truly open source, it is also free software. Let me know of an example where this is not the case

(■_■¬)

07:14:26
So, What you choose Elio?

Elio
27.08.2016
07:14:35
Having said that, the president of the FSFE says the same thing. No need to fight over terms
I always say Free Open Source :P

(■_■¬)
27.08.2016
07:14:51
Good move... ¬¬

Elio
27.08.2016
07:15:06
And also one thing:

(■_■¬)
27.08.2016
07:15:17
But you are missing a L, For me it is FLOSS

Elio
27.08.2016
07:15:24
If "Open Source" is understood by more people, why not use it to your advantage?
In my government they know what Open Source is
But not Free Software
Should I slap them in the face explaining Free Software?

Elio
27.08.2016
07:16:00
I can do that with Open Source, to win a bigger fight

(■_■¬)
27.08.2016
07:16:10
Where is the Stallman fellow when one need him?

Elio
27.08.2016
07:16:15
Just to clear things

Elio
27.08.2016

Stallman fellows hardly talk with government officials
I do think there needs to be a balance
I would love to slap people and say "IT"S FREE SOFTWARE NOT OPEN SOURCE"
