It's important culturally in terms of software development and the rise of open source software practices.

Teenagers never read, in any time.
But young people is a very different thing, and I don't think is fair to generalise. Some read more, other less and other nothing.

For Fedora specifically? Not that I'm aware of on Telegram, but there's an active group of Fedora contributors who may have one started – I wouldn't be surprised.

Must read?
I would say it's important. I haven't read the whole book, but I've studied the points the book brings up and the impact it had on software development in '90s. It was built into some courses of the curriculums in my university.

The minor on free software?
Covering "The Cathedral and the Bazaar" is probably covered in the Free and Open Source Culture course, but I haven't taken that one yet. It was in one of the IT courses introducing software development practices (broadly).
